THE SATURDAY PROGRAMME

HMDT Music’s Saturday Programme based at Bridge Academy in Hackney, offers a wide range of exciting, high-quality and accessible music programmes to around 300 young people aged 1-25 each year, enriching their musical lives. Since 1995, it remains a vibrant and unique offering and a source of local community pride, attracting students from across London and beyond.

  • Hosting a huge range of creative activities under one roof, it offers an exceptional advantage for young people to try out different sessions to find what they enjoy most as we can tailor their schedule across programmes. Sharing and showcasing their musical offerings through informal concerts, exams and large-scale performances enables them to build their skills, techniques, teamwork  and confidence, supported by a team of specialist artists and teachers who are passionate about passing on their experiences to the next generation and providing award-winning experiences.

The Saturday Programme creates well rounded musicians and human beings, many of whom have gone on to study at music colleges, build careers in music and the arts, perform in the West End and even become music teachers themselves. Our supportive environment is the perfect home to build long-term friendships and explore, challenge and sustain their musical adventures!

Applications are open all year round and a Financial Aid Programme is available for those who need it.
